An Exhibition to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee

2/3/4/5 June 2012 in Martham Parish Church 

 

A post-Jubilee calculation:

  • 45 feet long of Time Line

  • 32 feet long of Then and Now

  • 8 feet long of Coronation Display

  • 32 square feet of Artefacts

  • 36 square feet of Reading Corner

  • 19 displays by Village Organisations

  • 2 folders from Village Organisations

  • 3 displays by Village Businesses

  • 1 individual display

  • 100 voluntary hours of stewarding and refreshments work

  • Loads of help from Parish Church members

  • Hours of draw ticket selling

  • £250 worth of adverts by village businesses

  • Over 100 booklets printed and sold - and still on sale

  • Dozens of loans and gifts of photographs, mementoes and artefacts

  • Scores of shared memories

  • Over 400 visitors

  • 20 youngsters slogging through the quiz

  • 10 minutes live on Radio Norfolk with Wally Webb

Brought together by uncountable hours of work by

the History Group Committee.  All adds up to....

...a great exhibition and around £3000 towards

preserving our Parish Church
